Deadly Thursday on Eastern Washington Roads

IT WAS A DEADLY DAY ON AREA ROADS thursday. SIX PEOPLE WERE KILLED IN 4 SEPARATE CAR WRECKS. THE FIRST CRASH HAPPENED ON I-90 ABOUT TEN MILES EAST OF RITZVILLE. THREE PEOPLE WERE KILLED WHEN THE CAR VEERED OFF THE ROADWAY TWICE AND HIT A BRIDGE POST. THE DRIVER WAS 20 YEAR OLD GABRIEL JOHNSON OF SPOKANE VALLEY. ALSO KILLED WERE 21 YEAR OLD MARY WERTS AND 19 YEAR OLD TREVOR HALLMAN-PERSON, BOTH OF SPOKANE. WERTS WAS NOT WEARING A SEATBELT. ALL THREE DIED AT THE SCENE.

 

ALSO thursday, A HEAD-ON CRASH JUST SOUTH OF KETTLE FALLS KILLED 34 YEAR OLD JAY PRATT. THE OTHER DRIVER SUFFERED NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES.

 

MEANWHILE, JUST BEFORE NOON TWO CARS CRASHED ON U.S. HIGHWAY 195 AT CHENEY-SPOKANE ROAD. 96 YEAR OLD RENARD FARACADIED AT THE SCENE WHEN HE FAILED TO YIELD TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ERIC SOHN OF SPOKANE 45 YEAR OLD SOHN WAS NOT INJURED.

 

AND ONE PERSON DIED AFTER A ONE CAR CRASH ON STATE ROUTE 127 IN WHITMAN COUNTY.  84 YEAR OLD OREN PILLERS LOST CONTROL OF HIS CAR AND CRASHED. HE PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE.
