>>FANTASY

As many of our drafts get ready to take place - we are paying attention to who is hot adn who is not as we look for sleepers.  And watching the injuries pile up.  Here are a couple more guys that are either done for the year or trying to make it back.  The  Pittsburgh  Steelers placed  Plaxico Burress on  the injured reserve list Tuesday,  one  day after the veteran  wide receiver turned 36. Burress injured his  shoulder  last week  during  practice  and  underwent surgery  Monday  to reportedly repair a torn rotator cuff. The Steelers drafted the Michigan State product  in  the first round  (eighth overall) of  the 2000 NFL Draft. Burress spent  the first five  years of his career with Pittsburgh and returned to the franchise  late last season. For his career, Burress has caught 553 passes for 8,499  yards and 64 touchdowns in 148 games with the Steelers, New York Giants and New York Jets.

San  Diego Chargers  wide receiver Malcom Floyd  hopes to be ready in time for
the  season opener after suffering a knee strain during Monday's practice. The
injury  occurred  after colliding with  cornerback Shareece Wright. Floyd will
send  the results of his MRI to other specialists so the initial diagnosis can
be  confirmed. Floyd led the Chargers with a career-best 56 receptions for 814
yards  and  five touchdowns last season.  Over his eight-year career, all with
the  Chargers, Floyd  has 233  catches  for 3,984  yards and  25 TDs.  Danario
Alexander,  San  Diego's other starting receiver,  was lost for the year after
tearing his ACL last Tuesday.
